Why we do not ask for consent
Under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive, consent is not required for cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service you explicitly requested. All three cookies above fall into that category: one records a language you actively chose, one exists only for an authenticated administrator, and one simply remembers that you dismissed a notice. Because we run no analytics or advertising, there is nothing here that consent would apply to. Should we ever add analytics, we would ask for consent first and this page would say so.
Managing cookies
